Paper Size: approximately 16" x 20"Edition Size: 500 This image is taken from a publicity cel created by Director Robert McKimson. Honey Bunny was designed by Robert McKimson and is the girlfriend of Bugs Bunny. Although she never appeared in any Looney Tunes cartoon, she was used for merchandising purposes and was the character who “morphed” into Lola Bunny, who appeared in numerous cartoons, commercials, and films, such as Hare Jordan, in the 1980s. Robert McKimson While the name Robert McKimson is not well-known outside animation circles, his work is familiar to us all. Robert McKimson's animation career began in 1928 at The Walt Disney Studios, which then employed only about 30 people. He found the legendary Mickey Mouse on the drawing board before him on his very first assignment as an assistant animator. In 1931, he left for Warner Bros. Studio, where he stayed on until 1963 as an animator and cartoon Director. Robert McKimson became a Director during the mid-40s with his first picture,“Daffy Doodles,” being released in 1946. In all, he animated and directed 175 cartoons for Warner Bros., while creating and introducing five major cartoon characters: Foghorn Leghorn, Hippety Hopper, Sylvester Jr, the original Speedy Gonzales, and, of course, the Tasmanian Devil.
