Boxed Dual Cylinder Colt Frontier Scout Revolver

Lot # 811 (Sale Order: 212 of 571)

Boxed Dual Cylinder Colt Frontier Scout Single Action Revolver, #241233F, .22 LR/.22 mag. cal., 4.75'' blued steel barrel and cylinder, black alloy frame and triggerguard...more, Staglite grips with silver Colt medallions, and standard sights. In original woodgrain pattern box with fitted woodgrain pattern insert. Mfg'd 1969. Condition overall is about fine with approx. 98% remaining factory finishes, both cylinders with a light index line, factory lettering is clear and crisp. The most noticeable cosmetic blemishes are a few scattered tiny specks of pitting on the cylinders, as well as a few on the rear portion of the barrel, appearing to be from prolonged storage as this revolver does not appear to have been fired very often. Grips are excellent with shiny Colt medallions. Crisp action, excellent bore. Box is good showing mostly moderate storage wear and age, lid does show some evidence of possible very mild moisture damage which would account for the spots on the cylinder. Est.: $300-$500. Marlin Model 1893 Lever Action Short Rifle

Lot # 814 (Sale Order: 215 of 571)

Marlin Model 1893 Lever Action Saddle Ring Repeating Short Rifle, or Carbine, #432734, .32-40 CF cal., blued 20'' octagonal barrel with dovetailed long German silver blad...moree front and adjustable buckhorn rear sight, blued full-length under-barrel magazine tube, nosecap and carbine buttplate; varnished walnut forend and buttstock. Stocks are smooth and sound with light handling marks, and fit well. Action is strong; bore is bright with sharp rifling. This gun presents collectors with somewhat of an enigma: is it a saddle ring short rifle (Marlin offered Model 1893 rifles with 20'' octagonal barrels), a carbine with an octagon barrel, or a rifle cut down to carbine length? It shows no sign of alteration, all parts fit well and condition matches. Est.: $350-$500. (C&R)
