A Yorkshire County Rugby Union representative cap, awarded to Jack Randall of Featherstone RUFC in 1897-98, bearing wirework Yorkshire rose crest, dated to peak, the interior with name tag inscribed in ink RANDALL; sold together with information regarding the player Jack Randall and the Yorkshire Rugby Football Union In 1897-98 Jack Randall played in one county match for Yorkshire v Northumberland, played at Newcastle 13th November. Yorkshire won the match. Randall also made one appearance for Yorkshire in 1986-97.

British Lions in South Africa 1974 2nd Test Loftus Versfeld official programme and team-sheet insert, ORIGINAL 32 PAGE MATCHDAY PROGRAMME AND ORIGINAL TEAM SHEET INSERT FOR THE 2ND RUGBY UNION TEST MATCH BETWEEN SOUTH AFRICA AND THE BRITISH LIONS, AT LOFTUS VERSFELD, PRETORIA, 22ND JUNE, 1974, BOTH ITEMS IN REMARKABLY GOOD CLEAN CONDITION. In 1974 the British Lions toured South Africa, with matches in South West Africa and Rhodesia. The tour was a great success, the Lions winning 21 of their 22 matches and being held to a draw in the last game - the fourth and final Test against South Africa. After winning the first three Test Matches, the Lions drew the final Test when the South African referee blew the final whistle four minutes early with the Lions two metres from the South African try line, thus preserving their unbeaten record, but denying them a tour whitewash.

An early record of Rugby Union in America in the form of a letter from the British Foot Ball Club New York, dated April 20th 1883, on headed paper, stating ''a General Meeting of this club, will be held on Monday Evening 30th April at 8 o'clock p.m. at Milligan's Rooms, 1261 Broadway'', laying out the amendments to the Constitution and stating the officers and committee for the season 1883 - 84 There is a reference to New York Rugby Club in Melvin I Smith's book ''Evolvements of early American Foot Ball''. They should not be confused with the later New York Rugby Club founded in 1929 and celebrating their 90th anniversary this year.

Rugby Union, a fine & rare 60 x 48 cm photograph of England v Scotland (6-10), Richmond March 1903, being an official E.R.U. issue and given to Captain Edward Ivo Medhurst Barrett (1879-1950), on his only Test appearance, he was an interesting character who played 86 matches for Hampshire (1896-1925) and one Rugby Test, he was commissioner of the Shanghai Municipal Police (1925-29) but was forced to resign, in contemporary oak frame glazed 75 x 62 overall
