This is a Sioux Native American Indian polychrome painted bow with arrow from the late 19th century. The bow is hand carved and features a braided sinew drawstring. The piece is adorned with iron trade tacks, buffalo hair and trade yarn. The arrow shows a hand carved wooden shaft with feather fletching and a forged iron arrowhead. The Sioux bow and arrow are in good condition. The bow measures 35.75" long.

This item is a Zuni Native American Indian Sunface fetish bolo-tie, expertly hand crafted by Stanford & Geraldine Gchachu. The bolo-tie showcases fantastic inlaid turquoise, oxblood coral, onyx, mother of pearl, and azurite, all placed excellently on a sterling silver backing. The tie is made with deep black braided leather, capped with decorative aglets, and utilizing a "Bennet" style locking clasp. The bolo tie is signed on the back with the makers hallmark "Stanford & Geraldine Gchachu - Zuni". The bolo-tie is in good condition. It measures approximately 22" long from the tips of the aglets to the top of the loop. The sunface fetish measures 2 1/2" tall, and 1 1/2" wide.

Navajo Zapotec Chinle Style Woolen Runner Rug

This lot provides you the chance to bid on a Navajo Native American Indian Chinle style rug. The rug shows a crimson red base, with horizontal bands in navy blue, black, and tan. In between every three horizontal bands is a band of decorative polychrome chevrons. The piece is done by the Zapotec Indians of Mexico. This rug is a peculiar Navajo piece, due to its "runner" size, and end fringe. The rug is in good condition, with a nice, tight weave. The rug measures 85" x 29".

Antique, Rustic Oak Pie Safe

This lot gives you the chance to bid on an antique pie safe. The piece shows an oak, and pine slat construction. The safe has two large glass cabinet doors atop, with a single "crystal" style pull knob. The middle segment has two pull out drawers, each adorned with a brass drop handle. The bottom dry storage section also has two large cabinet doors, this time with an oak construction. The cabinet has 5 screened, ventilation holes on each side. The cabinet is in fair condition, and measures 40 1/2" wide, 15 1/4" deep, and 71 3/8" tall.

1859 McClellan Military Saddle

Lot # 14 (Sale Order: 14 of 510)      

This is an 1859 McClellan Military saddle, named for George McClellan. Prior to the Civil War McClellan was part of a commission studying European military tactics, weapons, and logistics. When he came back, he developed a saddle based on a Hungarian model. The simple open-tree design proved serviceable and cost-effective, and in 1859 it was adopted by the War Department. By the end of the Civil War, nearly half a million were produced. This saddle features a rawhide covered open tree with a brass rigging ring to the front left of the cantle. The unadorned leather blanket is attached to the side bar via slotted brass rivets. Quarter straps and quarter strap rings are also present, as is part of the cinch strap. This saddle is in decent condition for its age. It measures 12.5". From the Kent DeVore Collection. Kent DeVore was the owner and operator of DeVore's Saddlery in Helena, Montana. Some of these items were from his Father who started the Helena Tent and Saddle Company in Helena, Montana over 100 years ago.

Offered for bidding in this lot is a gorgeous side saddle from the personal collection of Kent DeVore - Owner and operator of "DeVore Saddlery", of Helena Montana since 1950. The invention of the earliest "functional" side saddle is credited to Anne of Bohemia between 1366-1394. The functional purpose of the side saddle was to keep the modesty of the women utilizing them - they fell out of popularity between 1900-1950 when it became acceptable for women to ride astride, and wear trouser while doing so. As silly as the reasons for use may be, women still managed to accomplish awesome feats using a side saddle. This particular sidesaddle shows a rich dark khaki color, absent of any tooling or makers mark, The underside of the fender does read "X702". The saddle has a cotton padded undercarriage, a single ladies stirrup, and a striped cotton billet strap. The side saddle also shows an "average set" pommel. The seat measurement for the saddle comes to; 13" wide, and 23 1/4" long.

Offered for sale is a wonderful example of a early Smith & Wesson Model 39-2 9mm Semi-Auto Pistol. The pistol features 4" barrel, wooden grips, 8 round magazine, and blue'd finish. The Smith & Wesson Model 39 was a semi-automatic pistol developed for the US Army service pistol trials of 1954. After the Army abandoned its search for a new pistol, the Model 39 went on the civilian market in 1955 and was the first of Smith & Wesson's first generation semi-automatic pistols. Used by the Illinois State Police and the US Navy SEALs, it was a groundbreaking pistol for use with the military and law-enforcement agencies. Browning BDA-380 Semi-Automatic .380 Pistol

This is a Browning Model BDA-380 semi-automatic pistol chambered in the .380 auto caliber. The pistol features a blue'd steel frame and slide with solid walnut hardwood stocks. The Browning BDA 380 pistol was introduced in 1980 or so as a compact and lightweight pistol for police and civilian use. The gun was manufactured in Italy under contract from FN Herstal (Belgium) and marketed as FN model 140DA (in Europe) or Browning BDA 380 (in USA). Some sources said that BDA 380 is a copy of Beretta 84, but close inspection shows some differences (i.e. Beretta 84 has frame mounted safety while BDA 380 has slide mounted safety). The manufacture of the BDA 380 was ceased circa 1997. It was adopted by Belgian police. The BDA 380 is a blowback operated, double action semi automatic pistol. It has aluminum alloy frame and steel slide. Ambidextrous slide mounted safety switch disconnects the trigger from the hammer when engaged. The pistol featured low profile fixed sights and was available in either polished steel or blue'd finish, with wooden grip panels. The slide is marked on the left side "Browning Arms Company / Morgan Utah & Montreal P.Q." and the right side of the slide is marked "Fabrique National Herstal Made in Italy". The Browning pistol is in good condition with 95%+ original blued finish and a few handling marks on the grips. The pistol measures 4.5" x 6.75". Serial number is 06619. Modern firearm.
