Andrew Atroshenko "Indigenous" embellished Giclee

Lot # 290 (Sale Order: 427 of 585)

Andrew Atroshenko "Indigenous" Retail $1350 RUSSIAN ART Medium: Giclee on Canvas Dimensions: 36" x 24"Edition: 350 Hand Signed by Andrew Atroshenko Artist Background: Andrew Atroshenko was born in 1965 in the city of Pokrovsk, Russia. Accepted as a gifted child in 1977 into the Children Art School, Andrew graduated with honors in 1981. Two years later, Andrew entered Bryansk Art College, and in 1991 was accepted at one of the most prestigious art schools in the world, the St. Petersburg Academy of Art. In 1994, Andrew began taking part in exhibitions such as St. Petersburg Artists in Reutlingen, Germany, the exhibition of a group Academy in St. Petersburg (1996), and‚Teachers memory (1997). After graduation from St. Petersburg Academy of Art in 1999, Andrew was invited by a New England, US based art group Bay Arts, to take part in their exhibitions and activities, spending that entire year in the United States into the Millennium. According to Andrew,‚This year in America gave me more as an artist then all eight years of my formal studies in the prestigious Russian academies. I am a descendant of farmers, and I was impressed by the New England's landscapes, and how a man in America avoids harming its environment. After seeing Royo and Pino at Art Expo New York 2000, I suddenly realized what direction I want to take my art in. After staying for a year in the United States, I spent two years in Russia perfecting my art. While Andrews work was being sold successfully in galleries across Florida, California, Ohio and Arizona, the artist was taking part in a variety of group exhibitions and auctions in France, which resulted in all of his work being sold out. Since 2000, Andrew has worked with dealers from Western Europe and the US, exhibiting and selling his paintings in such US cities as Carmel, Scottsdale, Palm Desert, Las Vegas & Hawaii. Two of Andrews pieces were also auctioned off by Sotheby's in 2002 and 2003.

Andy Warhol African Elephant Endangered Species Signed

Lot # 300 (Sale Order: 436 of 585)

Artist: Andy Warhol Title: African Elephant Endangered Specie Announcement Signed Invitation Medium: Lithograph Hand Signed by Warhol Size: 6" x 4.25" Framed: 14 3/4" x 14 1/4" Signed: Hand Signed by Warhol Year: 1983 Edition: Condition: Perfect Condition always protected from UV rays and acid free matting Authentication: Gallery Certificate Included Image FS II.293 Rare limited edition hand signed invitation from Andy Warhol to his Endangered Specie Series.. In 1983, Andy Warhol created a series of ten color screen prints that portrayed endangered animals from around the world: Siberian tiger, San Francisco silverspot, orangutan, Grevy’s zebra, black rhinoceros, bighorn ram, African elephant, pine barrens tree frog, giant panda and bald eagle. Using brilliant colors — characteristic of Andy Warhol’s signature style — and poignant expressions suggestive of the animal’s fate, Andy Warhol creates a dynamic tension between art and reality. Andy Warhol was an American artist who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. Andy Warhol’s works explore the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture and advertisement that flourished by the 1960s. Andy Warhol’s Marilyn and Andy Warhol’s Soup Cans are some of the most recognized and collectible of his artworks. From Andy Warhol Paintings to Andy Warhol Prints and unique pieces, the artist’s works are available for sale from Guy Hepner. More than twenty years after his death, Andy Warhol remains one of the most influential figures in contemporary art and culture. Warhol’s life and work inspires creative thinkers worldwide thanks to his enduring imagery, his artfully cultivated celebrity, and the ongoing research of dedicated scholars. His impact as an artist is far deeper and greater than his one prescient observation that “everyone will be world famous for fifteen minutes.” His omnivorous curiosity resulted in an enormous body of work that spanned every available medium and most importantly contributed to the collapse of boundaries between high and low culture. A skilled social networker, Warhol parlayed his fame, one connection at a time, to the status of a globally recognized brand. Decades before widespread reliance on portable media devices, he documented his daily activities and interactions on his traveling audio tape recorder and beloved Minox 35EL camera. Predating the hyper-personal outlets now provided online, Warhol captured life’s every minute detail in all its messy, ordinary glamour and broadcast it through his work, to a wide and receptive audience.

Shvaiko chafed under the stifling effect that the lingering Russian bureaucracy had on the careers of young artists. Unable to get a visa to a Western country, Viktor was permitted to travel to Yugoslavia . In the confusion of the civil war, he fled to Italy with his paintings strapped to his back, often encountering gunfire from roving bands of militia. Having arrived in Italy virtually penniless, Viktor survived by selling his paintings on the streets of Rome. He managed to build a following for himself, and save some money. He eventually returned to a now more liberalized Russia, and was able to obtain passage to America.

PINO "At Rest"Giclee on Canvas Signed/Numbered 12x20

Lot # 309 (Sale Order: 445 of 585)

Artist: Pino Item- At Rest Type- Hand Signed/Numbered. Giclee on Canvas Size- H/12 x W/20 Condition- Excellent PINO "At Rest" Hand Embellished Giclee on Canvas Signed/Numbered 12x20 W/COA Pino Daeni (November 8, 1939 – May 25, 2010) was an Italian-American book illustrator and artist. He is known for his style of feminine, romantic women and strong men painted with loose but accurate brushwork. Considered one of the highest paid book illustrators of his time, he created over 3,000 book covers, movie posters and magazine illustrations. From 1960 to 1979, his work garnered several prizes and awards. During this period, he was commissioned by two of Italy's largest publishers, Mandadori and Rizzoli, for numerous book illustrations. After a visit to Manhattan in 1971, Pino's experiences of the art scene at that period led him to feel restricted in Milan, and in 1978, he moved to New York, where he believed the artistic freedom would allow him greater opportunities. In 2001, Pino's son, Massimo, began representing his artist-father, despite Pino's initial reluctance. Massimo, more known as Max, successfully grew his efforts into a profitable marketing company, helping his father expand beyond his normal gallery representation to include magazines and books. His work continues to appear in art galleries all over the world, and his Giclee prints sell into the thousands of dollars. On May 25, 2010, Pino died at the age of 70 after many famous pieces and is know as one of the most popular artists of all time.
