RED 9 BROOMHANDLE MAUSER C-96 W/ HOLSTER & STOCK

Lot # 451a (Sale Order: 476 of 831)

Serial #883605. This gun was made as a commercial model between 1932-34. Also, a genuine Red 9 C-96 would have a rear sight graduated to 500 meters, not 1000 as is this gun. This is a late pre-WWII commercial that exhibits mismatch number parts, newer red nine grips and a rear sight not correct for a true red 9. With this being the case, we would not recommend that you assume it has been converted or ever was a 9mm. It must be chamber cast to determine if it is a 7.63 or 9mm. The markings on this gun are faint on chamber but it has a strong Mauser Banner. and right side frame stamps are legible. Gun retains about 95% of the re-applied blue finish. Grips are near mint as replaced. The bore is sharp. This gun comes with a period, or at least older, wooden holster/shoulder stock that has no serial number. The leather hanger is stamped Berlin 1916 but is also newer A newer cleaning rod is also included. Once checked out as to safety and caliber, should be a good shooting rig especially if it is a 9mm.

AMERICAN MADE FP-45 LIBERATOR .45 PISTOL

Lot # 452 (Sale Order: 477 of 831)

NSN. The Liberator pistol is referred to as the Model FP-45. It was made in the US and intended for use behind enemy lines by resistance fighters. It was a single shot .45 ACP pistol that was to be used to kill an enemy and take his gun and not meant as a long term weapon. The FP-45 was a crude, single-shot pistol designed to be cheaply and quickly mass-produced. It had just 23 largely stamped and turned steel parts that were cheap and easy to manufacture. It fired the .45 ACP pistol cartridge from an unrifled barrel. Five extra rounds of ammunition could be stored in the pistol grip. It was only produced in 1942 and was meant to be air dropped behind the lines. They have come to symbolize the meaning of freedom to the oppressed. This example is in good condition have toned but complete. it seems that in looking at images, they were put together in different methods using same basic idea. This one has some proof style marks on left side of barrel. *(C&R)
