South Africa v British Lions 1974 2nd Test Match Rugby Union autograph sheet, OFFICIAL HOTEL BOULEVARD, PRETORIA LETTERHEAD WITH PRINTED DETAILS TO THE UPPER BORDER, SIGNED IN INK BY THE COMPLETE SOUTH AFRICAN SQUAD THAT WERE DEFEATED BY TWENTY EIGHT POINTS TO NINE BY THE BRITISH LIONS IN THE 2ND TEST MATCH OF THE 1974 LIONS RUGBY UNION TOUR PLAYED AT THE LOFTUS VERSFELD STADIUM, PRETORIA, 22ND JUNE, 1974, 22 ORIGINAL INK AUTOGRAPHS INCLUDING: HANNES MARAIS (Capt), IAN MCCALLUM, CHRIS POPE, JACKIE SNYMAN, GERRIE GERMISHUYS (whose sheet this was with additional former ownership signature to upper right border), GERALD BOSCH, NIEK BEZUIDENHOUT, KEVIN DE KLERK, MORNE DU PLESSIS, DUGALD MACDONALD, PISTON VAN WYK et al. It was also the first time the South Africans played the invitational British Barbarian team. The tour was the most successful the South African team had undertaken; the team only lost a single match. In the tests played the team beat all four Home Nations, France and the Barbarians. The only team to beat the Springboks was the invitational London Counties team. The final tour record saw 31 matches played, with South Africa winning 30 and losing just the one game.
