A truly unique tennis related gramophone record collection, firstly an 'Autographed' ''Reception to The British Lawn Tennis Team'' (Australia 1929) 78rpm record - A very rare original, 10 inch, black shellac, two-sided 78rpm gramophone record released on the Colombia record label in Sydney, Australia, an incredible recording of the voices of the British touring representatives - Harry A. Parker (New Zealand), Humbert A. Sabelli (Team Manager & Secretary of the LTA), J.(Colin) Gregory (Australian Open winner that year), H.W. ''Bunny'' Austin, H. Frank Peach (Australia), Miss Floris Conway (Australian Tennis Player), and Miss Marjorie Cox Crawford (Australian who married Jack Crawford), uniquely, all of them signed the original disc platter and whose names are therefore moulded into the surface of the reverse of this record, recordings are of the team's fascinating individual impressions on their arrival at the ''little town'' of Sydney, Australia; secondly - A double-sided 8 inch 78rpm shellac gramophone record titled ''Useful Hints to Lawn Tennis Players Part 1 and Part 2 by (Sir) Francis Gordon Lowe, A Leading Authority on The Game.'' Bussey wooden tennis press with applied LTA label; an International club woollen sweater with grey and pink band and Lillywhites Piccadilly Circus label; an England rose crest badge; a Donnay Borg Pro racquet; a Donnay Autograph racquet; an aluminium racquet with black plastic handle stamped 1/2; and an original artist drawn caricature of G S W Fitt relating to England international matches in 1947 Gordon Stephen William Fitt (1912 - 2002), British tennis player who competed in the Wimbledon tournament five times, appearing in both the singles and doubles on each occasion. He played in 1938 and 1939 and after the war in 1946 to 1948. He played internationally for England and captained in a tournament against Wales held at Newport in 1948, and also an international match v Germany.

Baker in pen and ink upper right corner; sold together with a rare 'pirate' programme for the Wimbledon Championships Tuesday July 1st, printed by Rostrevor Press S.W.6, comparison with the Official programmes held at the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club Museum show this is for Tuesday July 1st 1947 (2) Known as 'pirate' programmes these unauthorised printings were sold outside the ground of the All England Club by unscrupulous vendors to unwary visitors.

Rules booklet and tournament programme for Olympia Tennis Club, Old Trafford, Manchester, 1879, sold together with a further programme for a tournament held at The Western Club, 25th - 27th June 1896, (2) The Olympia Tennis Club may have been a predecessor of The Northern Lawn Tennis Club that was established in Old Trafford in 1881. Sir Humphery de Trafford was elected the club's first president, at the turn of the century the club relocated to Didsbury on land purchased by members and local residents.
