An official photograph of the British Olympic Tug-of-War team 1912-13, the image 24 by 28cm., formal team-group the team wearing Great Britain competitor's vests, printed legend to lower margin, overall 36 by 46cm. The British Tug-of-War team came from the City of London Police. At Stockholm in 1912 they won the silver medal beaten by Sweden in the final. They were the defending champions from London in 1908.

Theunis, the obverse struck with a female figure crowning three athletes, the reverse with a male athlete driving a biga; sold together with a silver-gilt & enamel medal named to Werner Magnusson, inscribed I.F. KAMRATERNA, GOTEBORG, 1963, ribbon suspension (2) Magnusson competed in three events at the Antwerp 1920 Olympic games winning a bronze medal representing Sweden in the men's cross-country team event. He also finished 13th in the x-country individual race and was 6th on the track in the 10,000 metres.

Martin for Huguenin Frès, Nike standing on platform driven by two horses, mountains in background, rev. legend in six lines, 37mm., in original paper box Andre Georges Poplimont (1893-1973) was a Belgian ice hockey player and fencer. As a hockey player he won a bronze medal at the 1924 European Championships whilst Begium finished ranked 7th at the 1924 Chamonix Winter Olympic Games. As a fencer he narrowly missed out on a medal in the team epee event at the Los Angeles 1932 Olympics with Belgium finishing 4th.

In the 1948 London games he hit the hurdle in the heat and fell. However such was his standing that he took the oath on behalf of the athletes at London 1948 games. He won gold in the 1934 British Commonwealth Games and in the 1938 European Games. He rarely lost and was also accomplished at other disciplines. He had a remarkable career and won the D.F.C. - A.F.C. award. He was credited with kills in combat and was paralyzed in a car accident in 1966 and died in 1970.

A presentation from the Hungarian Olympic Committee on the occasion of the 1948 London Olympic Games, in the form of a bronze figure of Hadik Husar by the sculptor Kisfaludi Zsigmond Strobl (1884-1975), signed and inscribed to base, incorporating Olympic Rings, height: 27 cm 1948 represented the centenary year of the Hungarian Revolution hence the choice of the Hungarian General Andras Hedik as the subject matter for the presentation.
A presentation from the Hungarian Olympic Committee on the occasion of the 1948 London Olympic Games, in the form of a bronze figure of Hadik Husar by the sculptor Kisfal...moreudi Zsigmond Strobl (1884-1975), signed and inscribed to base, incorporating Olympic Rings, height: 27 cm 1948 represented the centenary year of the Hungarian Revolution hence the choice of the Hungarian General Andras Hedik as the subject matter for the presentation.
