The Glasgow team won the match 4-2 in what was the 14th annual meeting of the two Junior League representative teams and which drew an impressive crowd of 10,000 spectators. He played for Shelbourne, Dublin between 1958 and 1960 with 19 appearances and scoring once, helping Shels win the FAI Youth Cup in 1959 and the FAI Cup in 1960. Moving to Manchester United in 1960 until 1973 with 530 appearances scoring twice, with wins in the 1963 FA Cup, 1965 and 1967 English Football League First Division championships and 1968 European Cup. Then moving to Bolton Wanderers from 1973 to 1979 with 170 appearances, helping them win the Football League Second Division in 1977-78 and then Detroit Express in 1979 making 12 appearances. 9ct. gold Football League Division One championship winner's plaque season 1975-76, inscribed DIVISION I, CHAMPIONS, 1975-76, in original Vaughton's of Birmingham case of issue, inscribed THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE, and with typescript paper label D. FAIRCLOUGH Liverpool won their first major trophy under Bob Paisley by narrowly winning the League title after heated competition from Dave Sexton's Queen's Park Rangers. In a dramatic climax to the season, Liverpool needed to either win or secure a low-scoring draw against relegation-threatened Wolverhampton Wanderers. With 14 minutes left for play and despite constant pressure in the second half, the Reds trailed to a Steve Kindon strike for Wolves. The title was slipping away from Liverpool but three late goals from Kevin Keegan, John Toshack and Ray Kennedy took the Championship trophy away from Loftus Road to Anfield. Cup Winner's medals for 1909, 1949 & 1963, the 1909 medal presented to goalkeeper Harry Moger, 15ct gold inscribed 1909, MANCHESTER UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB, ENGLISH CUP 1908-9, engraved with a HM monogram; the 1948 medal presented to the right half John Anderson, 9ct gold, the reverse inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION CHALLENGE CUP, WINNERS, M/c UNITED, 1947-8, J. ANDERSON; the third presented to inside right Albert Quixall, 9ct gold, inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION CHALLENGE CUP, WINNERS, A.QUIXALL, MANCHESTER UTD. 3 LEICESTER CITY 1, all in a custom-made presentation wooden box, with fitted red velvet lining and gilt metal title plaques; sold together with two letters of provenance, one signed by John Anderson, the other by Albert Quixall Please note the footballer Albert Quixall misplaced his original 1963 F.A. Cup Final medal. The medal being offered here is the official replacement medal presented by the Football Association at a later date. The medal is date-stamped for Birmingham 1990. George Henry ''Harry'' Moger (1879-1927) an English football goalkeeper having played with Freemantle between 1898 and 1900 and Southampton between 1900 and 1903 with 14 appearances. Moving to Manchester United in 1903 until 1912 with 266 appearances, helping United to the Football League titles in 1907-08 and 1910-11 and the FA Cup in 1909. John Anderson (1921-2006) English and midfielder with Manchester United from 1946 to 1949 with 33 appearance and one goal, helping United win the FA Cup in 1948 with a goal against Blackpool in the final at Wembley Stadium, United winning 4-2. Transferred to Nottingham Forest in 1949 until 1951 with 40 appearance and scoring one goal, then to Peterborough United in 1952 to 1955 with 83 appearances scoring 4 goals. Albert Quixall (b.1933) English footballer having played with Sheffield Wednesday from 1950 to 1958 with 241 appearances scoring 63 goals, then with Manchester United from 1958 to 1964 appearing 184 times scoring 56 goals. He was one of the key recruits by Matt Busby in building a new team in the aftermath of the Munich air disaster, his only medal with the club was the 1963 FA Cup. He went on to play for Oldham Athletic from 1964 to 1966, Stockport County from 1966 to 1967, Altrincham in 1967 and Radcliffe Borough in 1968. His international England career saw his play for England B in 1953-54 with 3 appearances, England in 1954-55 with 5 appearances and England Youth in 1956 with 1 appearance.

George Henry ''Harry'' Moger (1879-1927) an English football goalkeeper having played with Freemantle between 1898 and 1900 and Southampton between 1900 and 1903 with 14 appearances. Moving to Manchester United in 1903 until 1912 with 266 appearances, helping United to the Football League titles in 1907-08 and 1910-11 and the FA Cup in 1909. John Anderson (1921-2006) English and midfielder with Manchester United from 1946 to 1949 with 33 appearance and one goal, helping United win the FA Cup in 1948 with a goal against Blackpool in the final at Wembley Stadium, United winning 4-2. Transferred to Nottingham Forest in 1949 until 1951 with 40 appearance and scoring one goal, then to Peterborough United in 1952 to 1955 with 83 appearances scoring 4 goals. Albert Quixall (b.1933) English footballer having played with Sheffield Wednesday from 1950 to 1958 with 241 appearances scoring 63 goals, then with Manchester United from 1958 to 1964 appearing 184 times scoring 56 goals. He was one of the key recruits by Matt Busby in building a new team in the aftermath of the Munich air disaster, his only medal with the club was the 1963 FA Cup. He went on to play for Oldham Athletic from 1964 to 1966, Stockport County from 1966 to 1967, Altrincham in 1967 and Radcliffe Borough in 1968. His international England career saw his play for England B in 1953-54 with 3 appearances, England in 1954-55 with 5 appearances and England Youth in 1956 with 1 appearance.
