Marked on receiver ring ''bnz/43'', and on left side receiver rail ''Mod.98''. Eagle stamps on left side of receiver ring and barrel. ''bb'' visible on right side of barrel. Faint waffenampt and ''H'' stamp on right side of buttstock. No cleaning rod. Replaced floorplate. Stock is wider than normal at wrist and butt. Matching numbered receiver, bolt and safety. Condition overall is very good with less than 40% finish remaining on the metal, with patina across the exposed barrel and front band, spots of rust at the rear of the receiver, and pitting across the triggerguard and buttplate. Wood is very good with a chip at the rear band, dark areas on the forend, and light handling marks. Action is rougher than normal (mid-war) but functional; bright bore is excellent. Condition overall is very good with approx. 90% of the reblued finish remaining on the metal (no finish on buttplate), with a mottled color to the bolt latch and browning to the front band, buttplate, etc. Stock has several delamination cracks and an overall dry appearance with some darkening and light handling marks. Stock with last three digits of serial number stamped at wrist, with light general impressions. Forward and upper handguard were replaced at time of overhaul and are slightly newer. Model 1913 Patton Enlisted Cavalry Saber, made by Springfield Armory and dated 1914. Condition is very good overall. The 35'' double-edged blade is bright, with some ol...mored dried grease on it, but should clean up nicely, marked at ricasso ''US 29546'' and ''S A 1914'' with the flaming bomb proofmark. Original leather blade washer is present, but a loose fit. Steel cupped guard shows some age, checkered grip panels are in good shape. Scabbard is covered in a khaki-colored woven cotton burlap material that shows age, soiling, and scuff marks. Metal tip on bottom of scabbard and metal top fitting with two mounting rings are in good shape. A nice example. Est.: $500-$700.

Originally ordered in 1910, with a total quantity of just 10,000. In brown leather Bulgarian holster. Condition is excellent as professionally restored, retaining approx. 99% of an expertly accomplished blue and straw finish. Grips are excellent, action is crisp, bore is mirror bright. 1914 Artillery Luger, #738f, 9mm, 8'' barrel, blue finish with straw small parts, checkered walnut grips, with one unmarked WWI era magazine, original holster with unmark...moreed later made combination tool, reproduction walnut shoulder stock, and 1st Model 32-round snail drum magazine marked ''B/N, #645771''. Chamber area dated 1917, toggle link marked DWM, with all visible matching serial numbers. Condition is very good retaining approx. 80%-85% thinning blue, with most of the losses to the sideplate and rails of lower receiver. Grips with moderate flattening and almost all checkers remain defined. Magazine has toned brown at one point and then been lightly cleaned. Carbon spotting to straw blue small parts, which retain about 60% of their original color. Action is good, bore is fair. 1915 dated Julius Arnade marked holster with light general crazing, thinning to final finish on hinge area, modified back loop, missing flap retaining stud, and nice tight stitching. Snail drum finish has thinned to approx. 85% and mechanically retains excellent spring tension with no external dings or dents to exterior surfaces. Est.: $2,000-$3,000. ''Eagle 359'' code stamped on right side of receiver ring and barrel. Single ''WaA 35'' stamped on right side of buttstock. Matching numbers on triggerguard, floorplate, and barrel bands. Mismatched number on bolt. Missing cleaning rod. ''LH'' lightly carved into left side of buttstock. Condition overall is very good with less than 40% finish remaining on metal surfaces, with the balance speckled and turning to a grey or brown patina. All of the finish has been sanded from the wood which has been left unfinished and shows old bruises and handling marks. Action is smooth, bore shows very light frosting and very good rifling. German GEW.98 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #371, 8x57mm cal., 29.13'' barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock, inverted ''V'' front sight and adjustable tangent rear sight, wit...moreh cleaning rod. Marked on receiver ring ''SIMSON & CO SUHL 1924'', and on left side receiver rail ''GEW.98.''. Rear sight serial number matches, other numbers mismatched. Unit marking disc on left side of buttstock stamped ''N 989a''. ''Eagle 14'' stamped on right side of receiver ring and right side of buttstock. Front band has no parade hook, rear band has fixed sling slot, rear sight is flat, bolt handle is bent. Buttstock has side cut out for sling and no lower swivel. Toe of buttstock has broken off and has been re-attached with dowels and screws. Condition overall is very good with approx. 65% finish remaining on the metal, with the balance thinned and turned to a brown patina. Wood is very good with overall darkening and handling marks. Bore is good with overall darkening in the grooves and very good rifling. Action is smooth. Rifle was made on contract for the post-WW1 Weimar Republic and has many of the transitional features of this time. A rare survivor, all German rifles of this era can be considered rare as it would have seen heavy service in the political violence of the 1920's and 30's through WWII. No visible import stamps. An interesting early variation that was mfg'd for the German Army without stock lug, and year of mfg. precedes 1912 as the chamber area is undated. These early models lack the toggle hold-open device. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 92%-94% lightly thinning blue and most of the losses at highpoint of sideplate. Refurbishment stamp on right side of buttstock. Condition overall is very good with almost all of the black finish remaining on the metal showing scattered handling marks. There are several arsenal repairs to the forend and a small chip at rear of action, otherwise wood is very good with darkening to the varnish finish. Action is smooth, bore is very good with very good rifling. Bayonet operates smoothly. Import stamped on right side of barrel. Includes a slip-on rubber recoil pad in excellent condition. Also includes one additional black police holster and two more factory magazines. Police holster is marked ''F17'' and differs from the military holster, as it lacks pouch for cleaning rod and combination tool. This holster remains in fine condition. Condition is excellent showing just light thinning in actioning areas of safety and takedown lever, as well as some minor wear to muzzle. Grips, action and bore are excellent. Est.: $800-$1,200. Chamber dated 1916, toggle link marked DWM, ''Gesichert'' marked thumb safety, ''Geladen'' marked extractor, fine tuned front and rear sights, and all visible matching numbers. Condition is fine as arsenal refinished an even matte blue. Grips with moderate flattening. Good action, fine bore. Holster has been removed from its shoulder stock, both cleaning rod and combination tool appear to be later reproductions.
