New Haven, Conn. U.S.A.-'' in two lines, and ''40-82 W.C.F.'' just ahead of juncture with case hardened steel receiver, marked ''-Model 1886-'' on top tang and ''Pat. Oct. 14, 1884/Jan. 20, 1885'' and the serial number on lower tang; blued sliding bolt; full-length tubular magazine; case hardened steel nosecap and crescent buttplate on oil-stained walnut forend and buttstock. Mfg'd 1893. Condition is very good, the barrel and magazine tube retaining good traces of what may be original nickel-plated finish; the case hardened receiver, hammer, operating lever, nosecap and buttplate having silvered out and showing scattered light erosion. Forend and buttstock are smooth and sound showing a nice semi-deluxe grain and good color. All markings are sharp; screw head slots are unblemished. Action is crisp and tight; bore is clean and lightly etched with pronounced rifling. Est.: $1,500-$2,500. (Antique)

Deluxe Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle, #62009, .44-40 cal., 28'' octagonal barrel, blue finish, case hardened frame, 2X checkered straight stock, standard cresc...moreent steel buttplate with trap for rod. Top of barrel is spuriously marked ''One of One Thousand''. Cody Firearms Information Sheet states shipped from the warehouse on Nov. 27, 1880, Order number 23138. Condition is good as modified. Barrel and mag tube retain approx. 10%-20% thinning blue finish. Front sight has been replaced with a brass blade. Case hardened frame with sharp edges, with case colors in protected areas near sideplate. Stock and forend show nice figure, loss at heel of buttplate. Buttstock with moderate to heavy flattening of checks, crack to left side near upper tang. Forend with 1.5'' loss to right side and 5/8'' loss to left side at cap; dustcover is missing as well. Lower tang has cracked and been repaired once, and has since cracked again slightly affecting hammer action. Bore is very good with just light pitting but well defined lands and grooves. U.S.A. - Patented'' in two lines over ''Special Smokeless Steel'' flanked by diamonds, and ''.32 Special'' at juncture with case hardened steel receiver, which is marked on top ''Marlin Safety'', and on top tang ''Marlin/Model 93'' in two lines and serial number on lower tang; blued full-length under-barrel magazine tube, two barrel bands and carbine buttplate; varnished walnut forend and buttstock. Mfg'd post-1919. Condition is fine, the barrel, magazine tube and bands retaining 95% deep original blue, dulling somewhat on magazine, the receiver silvered out, the operating lever with color at hinge area, approx. 99% blue on hammer and trigger, the buttplate with much blue at top tang and the balance gunmetal gray. Mfg'd. 1881. Condition is near fine, the barrel retaining approx. 90% smooth original blue, thinning and darkening; the magazine tube a blue-brown patina; the receiver retaining 50% blue mixed with brown age patina; the nosecap and buttplate a smooth bluish-brown; the operating lever is dark, the hammer with hints of case coloring; the stocks are sound showing nicks and dents commensurate with age and use but fit well and have nice straight grain and color. Action is smooth; bore is lightly etched but clean and with sharp rifling. The ''Centennial Model'' '76 was the first Winchester to offer desirable large calibers, such as this one, for hunting big game. Est.: $1,750-$2,750. (Antique)

Oct. 14, 1884 Jan. 20, 1885'' in two lines, ''-Nickel Steel Barrel-/Especially for Smokeless Powder'' in two lines, and ''33 W.C.F.'' and an oval Winchester proofmark just ahead of juncture with blued steel receiver, which has an adjacent matching proofmark and marked ''Model 1886/-Winchester/Trademark Reg. in U.S. Pat. Off.'' on top tang and the serial number on lower tang; blued sliding bolt; blued tubular half-magazine; blued steel nosecap and crescent buttplate on oil-stained walnut forend and buttstock. Mfg'd 1912. Condition is fine, the barrel and magazine tube retaining 85% smooth original blue; the receiver retaining 20% blue mixed with smooth brown age patina; the nosecap retains much toned blue; the hammer and operating lever with 20% silvered case coloring. Forestock is smooth and sound showing straight grain and nice color, buttstock (and possibly buttplate) a modern replacement. Action is smooth; bore is moderately etched and clean with pronounced rifling. The '86 was one of Teddy Roosevelt's favorite rifles. Est.: $1,500-$2,500. (C&R)

Sept. 6, 1864'' in two lines and ''28-30'' on left angled flat, mounted with Beach combination front and open rear sights; steel receiver with adjustable Vernier tang sight; double set triggers; serpentine operating lever; Swiss buttplate; varnished walnut forend (having a semi-Schnabel nose) and straight buttstock. Mfg'd 1896-1916, originally with blued and case hardened finishes. Condition is fine+, the barrel retaining approx. 70% blue on round portion and 25% on octagonal portion, and a smooth, lightly-aged gunmetal gray color to receiver, lever and buttplate; barrel has small tapped holes (two ahead of rear sight and two behind) with flush screws, likely for scope mounts (scopes were an original Stevens option). Stocks are very fine showing only minor use, nice grain and color, and perhaps a later coat of varnish. Action is smooth, double set triggers function as designed; bore is clean, shiny and with sharp rifling. A very nice rifle, in a very rare and desirable centerfire caliber. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. Long flat-bottom smooth walnut forend of a somewhat less fancy grade. Condition is excellent. Nickel frame retains approx. 96% of its original finish with small loss to left side. Buttstock remains in excellent original condition with only light flattening to checks and very small fissure from shrinkage from left side near upper tang; Winchester barrel and forend are a later addition and barrel probably originated from a Model 1885 High-Wall. Mfg'd 1980. Condition is excellent. Metal with scattered small handling marks and micro-scratches that are common on bright nickel finishes. Cylinder with only a very faint line between a few of the cylinder stop notches; cylinder face and chambers are bright and clean. Factory lettering is crisp and defined. Grips shows only a few minor handling marks, inside edge of the left grip shows a little wear. Bore is excellent. Overall this revolver appears to have been fired very little. Est.: $1,200-$1,500. In original Colt wood display case with an approx 3.5''x2.25'' John Wayne plaque. Overall the condition is excellent, appearing as new. Case colors are deep and rich. Cylinder with only a faint index line between two of the cylinder stop notches, appears unfired. Grips are also as new. Factory lettering is clear and crisp. Portions of the lid and exterior finish of the wood display case are a little textured and gummy with a few spots of noticeable thinning and finish loss, appears as if it was possibly caused by improper cleaning; otherwise it is in nice shape; interior is excellent. Model 94 Lever Action Musket, #NRA51962, .30-30 cal., in the same configuration as the previous rifle with the exception of the full length forend, 26'' barrel, and sling swivels. Both rifles come in the original Styrofoam box with matching end label, polychrome sleeve, with hang tag, NRA Centennial instruction booklet, certificate, and other misc. factory paperwork. Also included is the original shipping box with matching end label that is numbered to both of the rifles. Model 94 also comes with saddle ring and sling swivels. Mfg'd 1971. Winchester John Wayne Commemorative Model 94 Lever Action Carbine, #JW22254, .32-40 Win. cal., 18.5'' round barrel, blue finish, pewter frame and large loop lever, saddle...more ring, checkered straight grip walnut stock with inlaid John Wayne medallion. Nicely engraved frame lists John Wayne movies as borders to both sides, stagecoach and cowboy scenes, with facsimile John Wayne signature on upper tang. In original box with matching end label, polychrome slip cover, hang tag, leather saddle ring thong, owner's manual and other misc. paperwork. Appearing unfired, rifle is in excellent overall condition. Bottom right side of frame with a few light rub marks. Wood shows no mentionable wear or handling and is as new. Bore is mirror bright. Colt Third Generation Single Action Army Revolver, #SA33784, .44 Spec. cal., 7.5'' barrel, bright nickel finish, smooth two-piece walnut grips, and standard sights. Cyli...morender is numbered to the gun. In original faux woodgrain box with matching end label, two-piece Styrofoam insert, and misc. factory paperwork (no owner's manual). Mfg'd 1980. Condition is near excellent. Metal with scattered small handling marks and micro-scratches that are common on bright nickel finishes. Cylinder with a very light index line; cylinder face and chambers are bright and clean. Factory lettering is crisp and defined. Front gripstrap and edges of the backstrap are hazy and in need of a thorough cleaning. Grips show only a few minor handling marks and need to be freshly oiled. Bore is excellent. Box is tattered around the edges with some taped repairs, all the pieces are present, end label is legible. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (Modern/PPT)

In original Bat Masterson presentation case with silver Colt logo and facsimile of a letter that Masterson wrote to Colt requesting a ''Nickle plated short .45 calibre revolver''; case with red lining and the original Lawman Series Bat Masterson pamphlet. Overall the condition is excellent showing only intermittent slight handling marks to the bright nickel surfaces, no flaking or finish loss. Cylinder appears unturned and unfired. Grips are as new. Case is excellent, with a few spots of light storage wear along the edges. Limited to a production of only 3,000 in 1967. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R/PPT)
